【摘要】:Thistestmethodisapplicabletothrough-penetrationfirestopsofvariousmaterialsandconstruction.Firestopsareintendedforuseinopeningsinfire-resistivewallsandfloorsthatareevaluatedinaccordancewithTestMethodsE119.Testsconductedinconformancewiththistestmethodrecordfire-stopperformanceduringthetestexposure;butsuchtestsshallnotbeconstruedtodeterminesuitabilityofthefirestopforuseaftertestexposure.Thistestmethodalsomeasurestheresistanceoffirestopstoanexternalforcestimulatedbyahosestream.However,thistestmethodshallnotbeconstruedasdeterminingtheperformanceofthefirestopduringactualfireconditionswhensubjectedtoforcessuchasfailureofcablesupportsystemsandfallingdebris.Theintentofthistestmethodistodevelopdatatoassistothersindeterminingthesuitabilityofthefirestopsforusewherefireresistanceisrequired.Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfire-hazardorfire-riskassessmentofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditionsThisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredrequirementsofthestandard.
