【摘要】:Thisspecificationprovidesfortheidentificationofpolyethyleneplasticsmoldingandextrusionmaterialsinsuchamannerthatthesupplierandtheusercanagreeontheacceptabilityofdifferentcommerciallotsorshipments.Thetestsinvolvedinthisspecificationareintendedtoprovideinformationforidentifyingmaterialsinaccordancewiththegroups,classes,andgradescovered.Itisnotthefunctionofthisspecificationtoprovidespecificengineeringdatafordesignpurposes.Otherrequirementsmaybenecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplications.Theseshallbeagreeduponbetweentheuserandthesupplier,byusingthesuffixesgiveninSection.Ethyleneplasticmaterials,beingthermoplastic,arereprocessableandrecyclable(seeNote0).Thisspecificationallowsfortheuseofthoseethyleneplasticmaterials,providedthatanyspecificrequirementsasgovernedbytheproducerandtheenduseraremet.Note0SeeGuideD5033forinformationanddefinitionsrelatedtorecycledplastics.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsareregardedasstandard.Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainstothetestmethodportiononly,Section,ofthisspecification.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.ForinformationregardingplasticpipematerialsseeSpecificationD3350.Forinformationregardingwireandcablematerials,seeSpecificationD1248.Forinformationonpolyethyleneswithdensitiesbelow0.910g/cm,seeClassificationD5593.Note2ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.
